Issue Twelve

The slow press.

A quarterly print magazine about people who make things by hand — long reads, big photographs, no hurry.

From the editor

Why we still print.

Screens are where we work; paper is where we read. A magazine you can hold asks for a different kind of attention — slower, fuller, undistracted.

Each issue is one long sitting: a dozen stories, set in a serif worth the ink, printed on stock that turns soft with use. We make four a year, and we make them to keep.

Issue twelve
The best stories don't break — they unfold. We give them the room.

What subscribers say.

The only subscription I never cancel. It arrives, and the evening is planned.
Imogen HartSubscriber, since issue 2
I read it twice — once for the stories, once for the type.
